Description

John Oftebro, President of the Redmond Historical Society, presents a short history of Redmond. Hear about the early settler families, economic industries back then, and forward to the incorporation of the town in 1912. 

Learn about town politics, population growth, new industries and some of the local cultural activities, including the history of Derby Days. Discover how the Society is working to discover, preserve and share Redmond’s unique history.

Mr. Oftebro is a Washington state native and retired pharmacist. He has lived in Redmond since 1974.
